(CNN)-- Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris commented on Spain's victory in the 2026 World Cup, at the expense of Argentina.
Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final, which was held at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
This is Spain's second World Cup title after 2010, while Lionel Messi's teammates failed to defend their 2022 title.
Sawiris wrote on X late Monday: 'Don't cry for me Argentina, long live Spain,' referencing the famous song of the same name.
Naguib Sawiris had confirmed before the match that he was supporting Spain, saying: 'Everyone is with Spain today.'
