The Egyptian Football Association announced on Wednesday its approval to renew the contract of Hossam Hassan, the national team's head coach, after the Pharaohs' historic participation in the 2026 World Cup.

The association said in a statement that the board of directors approved the renewal of the contract for Hossam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan, the team manager, as part of continuing the technical project of the national team and building on what has been achieved in the past period.

It added that the procedures for approving and renewing the contract will be completed at the next board meeting, following the team's delegation's return to Egypt.
