Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty against Morocco in the World Cup quarterfinal, becoming the second French player to do so in World Cup history after Karim Benzema, thanks to Yassine Bounou's save.
Kylian Mbappé, star of the French national team, failed to find the net from the penalty spot against Morocco in the 28th minute of their match on Thursday evening, in the quarterfinals of the 2026 World Cup, following a brilliant save by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
According to the French network 'Stats Foot', Mbappé became only the second player in the history of the French national team to miss a penalty in the World Cup, out of 18 penalties awarded to Les Bleus in the tournament.
