By name: Who are Jens Wissing's assistants at Al-Ittihad?
Press reports have revealed the names of the assistant coaches in the new technical staff of Al-Ittihad, led by German coach Jens Wissing.
Al-Ittihad Club announced on Friday the signing of Wissing to lead the team in the upcoming period, with a two-year contract running until 2028.
Saudi journalist Majed Hood said in a tweet on his personal account on 'X' that the new technical staff led by Wissing will include three German assistants in three different positions.
Harry Pufal will serve as assistant coach, while Jörn-Erik Wolf will be technical assistant and tactical analyst, and Timo Rosenberg will be the fitness coach.
All of Wissing's assistants have previously worked with him, specifically in his last stint with Japanese club Gamba Osaka in the second half of last season.
It is worth noting that Wissing succeeds Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição at Al-Ittihad, after the team finished last season in fifth place in the Saudi League, exited the AFC Champions League Elite in the quarterfinals, and the King's Cup in the semifinals.
Al-Ittihad will compete for three titles in the new season: the Saudi Roshn League, the King's Cup, and the AFC Champions League Elite, which they start from the preliminary round.
