The 75-year-old Spanish coach pointed to Argentina's victory over England, after coming from behind, as conclusive evidence of their quality, adding: 'I see the final leaning in Spain's favor, but they must be wary of Argentina due to the difficulty of facing them and their experience. In the matches we have seen, the flow of play went exactly according to the national team's will; they imposed control, showed confidence and certainty.' Del Bosque led Spain to the 2010 World Cup title, when they beat the Netherlands 1-0 in South Africa. Meanwhile, Andrés Iniesta, who scored the winning goal for Spain in the 2010 World Cup final, expressed his hope that the current generation of the Spanish national team would win the tournament, in an interview with El País, saying: 'I truly want this generation, these players, to become champions, and for us to get another star, the second star.' Iniesta, who played alongside Messi at Barcelona, praised the Argentina captain's ability to stay at the top at the age of 39, adding: 'I would say that he is still the same as ever, consistently making a difference, playing a leadership role on the pitch, providing decisive passes, and scoring goals. He does what he has always done throughout his life. I think the reason he has continued playing at this age is that he does many things right, such as the way he takes care of himself, his passion for this game, the people around him, in addition to maintaining the passion and mindset necessary to continue evolving personally while supporting his teammates.' The World Cup final between Spain and Argentina will be held at the New York/New Jersey stadium on Sunday evening.
