Monica Dinsmore, Head of Esports at EA, confirmed that participation in the 2026 Esports World Cup, currently held in Paris and continuing until August 23, represents an important milestone within the global competition system organized by the company, contributing to strengthening the presence of its competitive games on the international stage.

Dinsmore said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency: "What the Esports World Cup has achieved in a short period is a remarkable achievement, reflecting the rapid development of the event and its growing status in the esports landscape," praising the enthusiasm of the fans, which gave an exceptional character to the "Apex Legends Global Series" competitions.

She added that EA's competitions in the World Cup are part of the integrated competitive system managed by the company, and are of great importance within the competitive landscape of the two games "EA Sports FC" and "Apex Legends," noting that the "EA Sports FC" competitions are held within the Esports World Cup, making them a key element in the company's competitive system.
