Turkish media reports have revealed surprising developments regarding the future of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who has been linked with several European clubs, most notably Turkey's Beşiktaş.

Salah left Liverpool after nine years, during which he etched his name in golden letters in the history of world football.

According to Turkish newspaper Fantik, Colombian Rami Abbas, Mohamed Salah's agent, arrived in Istanbul to discuss the possibility of finalizing the deal, after the player was offered to Beşiktaş's management in recent days.

The newspaper explained that negotiations between the two parties are still ongoing, but have witnessed financial disagreements regarding the annual contract value, as the player insists on receiving a high salary commensurate with his status as one of the world's top football stars.

The report added that Salah has demanded €15 million per year in order to agree to move to the Turkish league, which represents the biggest obstacle to reaching an agreement so far.

The newspaper also indicated that the player shows a strong desire to experience something new in Turkey, confirming that his family prefers to live there, while he is not enthusiastic about playing in the Saudi league, according to the report.

The same sources mentioned that the coming hours may see a direct meeting between Beşiktaş's management and the player's agent to bridge the gap and finalize the decision regarding the potential transfer.

Beşiktaş fans are eagerly awaiting the developments of the negotiations, especially since signing a player of Mohamed Salah's caliber would represent one of the club's strongest deals in its history if negotiations succeed and a final agreement is reached.
