British newspapers continued their attack on the Argentine national team after the match between them in the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Argentine national team qualified for the 2026 World Cup final after defeating England 2-1 on Wednesday at the Atlanta Stadium in the semi-final.

After the match, the British newspaper "Telegraph" prepared a report documenting what it called the 'dirty tricks' that the Argentine national team resorted to in order to defeat England, from the start of the match until its end.

The newspaper said that Argentine players committed 31 dirty tricks, ranging from strong tackles during play, assaulting English players without the ball, engaging in altercations with them, or talking to referee Ismail Elfath to pressure him.

However, the most notable trick documented by the newspaper was that the Argentine players raised a banner after the match saying that the Falkland Islands are Argentine, amid the ongoing conflict over them with the British Kingdom.

It is worth noting that the Argentine national team qualified for the World Cup final for the seventh time in its history, the second consecutive time, and the third in the last four editions, where it will face the Spanish national team next Sunday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
