Jude Bellingham, the English national team star, commented on the loss of the dream of winning the 2026 World Cup, after the defeat to Argentina.

England was close to reaching the World Cup final, after taking a 1-0 lead until the 85th minute before the defending champion succeeded in scoring two goals, achieving a dramatic 2-1 victory.

Bellingham wrote on his Instagram account: 'I was having great difficulty finding the right words to express how I feel, but what our bus driver in Kansas said sums everything up perfectly.'

He added: 'Thank you for this exceptional support you have given us from home, and also thank you to everyone who spent their hard-earned money to travel to the United States and support us there.'

He continued: 'I hope that the unity and love we saw in our country does not end with this tournament, because when we are united, we can achieve great things, and we will definitely do that... I love you all.'

Bellingham shone brightly in the 2026 World Cup, scoring 6 goals and providing one assist.
