Exorbitant Prices for 2026 World Cup Final Tickets: Ticket at €188,000
Ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup final have reached record levels days before the highly anticipated match at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, amid widespread criticism over the sharp rise in ticket prices, which have become beyond the reach of a large segment of fans.
According to SeatPick, a website specializing in ticket price tracking, the cheapest available ticket for the final cost around €4,451, while the most expensive ticket on offer reached €188,803, amid high demand to attend the tournament's final match.

The prices did not stop there, as the official ticket resale platform of FIFA saw offers worth up to €2 million for some tickets, although there is no confirmation of sales being completed at these prices. This sharp increase has angered a number of officials, including Rafael Louzán, president of the Spanish Football Federation, who criticized the current prices, considering that they prevent many fans from attending the final. Louzán said in statements to Cadena SER radio that the cheapest price for a final ticket is around $4,000, noting that prices have become exaggerated, especially with rising travel and accommodation costs, explaining that many Spanish fans find it difficult to afford ticket expenses in addition to flight and hotel prices. The current prices differ significantly from the official prices set by FIFA before the tournament began, as the international federation adopted four categories for final tickets valued at $11,000, $5,500, $3,600, and $800. The French newspaper L'Équipe explained that the high demand as the final approaches, along with the secondary ticket market, has driven prices to unprecedented levels compared to the original prices set by FIFA. The final match is scheduled to take place next Sunday at MetLife Stadium, where the Spanish team has secured its spot after defeating France in the semi-finals, and awaits the winner of the match between England and Argentina to determine the other finalist.
