FIFA to Fans: You Can Attend the Final Press Conference... After You Pay
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has introduced another paid experience for the 2026 World Cup, allowing fans the opportunity to attend the official press conference ahead of the final match between Spain and Argentina.
As part of a partnership with the 'Fanatics Fest' festival in New York, fans can watch the press conference, which includes FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the coaches of the Spanish and Argentine national teams. While attendees are allowed to watch and listen, they will not be permitted to ask questions.
The cost of entry to the press conference is 70 euros for adults and approximately 22 euros for children. The family package, priced at around 750 euros, includes a 4-day entry to the 'Fanatics Fest' festival in addition to attending the press conference.
FIFA is also offering paid opportunities to take photos with football personalities during the event. According to The Times, the cost of a photo with Rio Ferdinand is 148 euros, while meeting Vozinha, the goalkeeper of the Cape Verde national team, costs 100 euros. Tickets for sessions with several New York Knicks players and Brazilian legend Kaká have already sold out.
