FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Ter Stegen misses Germany-Oman friendly

Berlin, November 14 /QNA/ The German Football Association announced today that goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen will not travel today to the Omani capital, Muscat.

The German national team is preparing to play a friendly match against its Omani counterpart the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, in preparation for Germany's participation in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and will then head to Doha next Thursday.

The German federation said in its statement today: "Marc-André ter Stegen will not initially travel with the national team to the short World Cup training camp in Oman as planned on Monday due to a gastrointestinal infection. He will remain in Frankfurt for now."

The German team will compete in the Qatar World Cup in Group E, which also includes Spain, Costa Rica, and Japan.
