Al-Ittihad and Al-Shabab announced the names of their new coaches on Friday evening, both opting for the German school. Al-Ittihad has hired Bens Vising, the former coach of Japan's Gamba Osaka, while Al-Shabab has brought in Thomas Lech, the former coach of Austria's Red Bull Salzburg. Fans of each team in the Roshan League have learned about their coach for the upcoming season, whether new or retained from last season, except for Al-Fateh, which has yet to announce the name of its technical leader for 2026-2027. The Al-Ahsa club is on the verge of announcing its contract with Al-Atwi, as reported by Al-Riyadiya on its website on Thursday. The number of new coaches has risen to eight, including Australian Ange Postecoglou with Al-Nassr, the defending champion. Promoted side Al-Diriyah has brought in Portuguese Bruno Laje, Al-Ettifaq has hired Australian Arthur Papas, and Al-Taawoun has chosen Serbian Zarko Lazetic. Al-Fayha and Al-Khaleej preferred experience in the Saudi league, with the former signing Brazilian Fabio Cari, former coach of Al-Ittihad, Al-Wehda, and Damac, and the latter signing Portuguese Jose Gomes, former coach of Al-Ahli, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Fateh. Nine coaches continue with their teams, including Italian Simone Inzaghi with Al-Hilal, German Matthias Jaissle with Al-Ahli, and Northern Irishman Brendan Rodgers with Al-Qadsiah. Al-Hazm has renewed confidence in Tunisian Jalel Kadri, the same done by Al-Riyadh with Brazilian Mauricio Dulac, and Al-Kholood with Englishman Des Buckingham. Newly promoted clubs Abha and Al-Faisaly have rewarded their coaches by keeping them. The former returns under the leadership of Croatian Damir Buric, while the latter renewed the contract of Italian Giovanni Solinas. Similarly, the contractual relationship between Neom and French coach Christophe Galtier continues. With Al-Atwi's appointment at Al-Fateh nearing, the percentage of teams opting for a change in technical leadership will reach 50%. The Roshan League season starts on August 13 and concludes after 34 rounds on May 29, 2027.
