Frenchman Hervé Renard continues to attract the interest of many national teams, having maintained his high value in the coaching market, despite his short recent stint as head coach of Tunisia during the 2026 World Cup.

According to French network Foot Mercato, Renard is still widely appreciated in Africa and Asia, thanks to his impressive record, especially his experience with the Saudi national team where he left a notable mark, after leading the Green Falcons to remarkable results, making him one of the most sought-after coaches in the region.

South Korean media sources indicate that Renard tops the list of candidates to replace Hong Myung-bo as coach of South Korea, after the latter left his post following the team's group-stage exit at the 2026 World Cup.

Interest in Renard is not limited to Asia; his name remains prominent in Africa, where he is considered a top candidate to take over South Africa, succeeding Belgian Hugo Broos.

The French coach's name has also reappeared among the options in Senegal, as the Senegalese federation looks to strengthen its technical project in the coming period.

In Algeria, Renard could become one of the leading names to take charge of the national team if a change occurs at the helm under Swiss Vladimir Petković, with reports indicating his name would be among the priorities.

Renard, who won the Africa Cup of Nations twice with Zambia and Ivory Coast, finds himself facing several options in the coming period, amid anticipation over his next destination after a brief spell with the Tunisian team.
