(CNN)— The Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Benjamin Netanyahu, released a video of him performing a header of a ball during a meeting with the Argentine ambassador in Israel, confirming his support for the Argentine national team against its Spanish counterpart in the 2026 World Cup final.
The video was published by the Prime Minister's Office on its official page on platform X (formerly Twitter) saying in a comment: 'Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in his office with the Argentine ambassador to Israel, Rabbi Shimon Axel Wahnesh, and wished the Argentine national team great success in the World Cup final to be held tomorrow.'
It added: 'Ambassador Wahnesh conveyed to the Prime Minister a voice greeting message from Argentine President Javier Milei, in which he said: "You are my friend, and you always support us. I was pleased to hear that you are cheering for Argentina because of me."'
The office continued in its post: 'Prime Minister Netanyahu replied to President Milei saying: "Javier, you are a friend; a true friend. You are a great friend, and we support you and Argentina in every way, including in tomorrow's match. Good luck!"'
The Argentine and Spanish national teams meet on Sunday, July 19, at 11:00 PM (Dubai time) at MetLife Stadium, which can accommodate nearly 82,000 spectators.
