Norwegian striker Erling Haaland commented on Kylian Mbappé, the captain of the French national team, missing a penalty during Les Bleus' 2-0 victory over Morocco in the World Cup quarterfinals.

Mbappé missed a penalty early in the match, but made amends in the 60th minute when he unleashed a brilliant curling shot that found the back of the net past goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.

The missed penalty remained the talk of everyone, especially because of the long wait Mbappé had to endure before taking the kick due to a VAR review.

AOL reported that Haaland expressed his opinion on Mbappé's penalty miss via Snapchat, not hiding his stance.

Haaland wrote in a comment on a picture of Mbappé's penalty: 'Waiting 5 minutes to take a penalty is far too long.'

In fact, Kylian Mbappé stood over the ball for 3 minutes and 12 seconds after being fouled by Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui.

For a player of Mbappé's caliber, such a disruption in rhythm is no trivial matter, and Haaland, who is also a penalty taker, seems to understand that well.
