Adi Hütter expressed feeling goosebumps as his second period as coach of Eintracht Frankfurt began, during the open training session held on Monday, announcing the start of preparations for the new season.

Through his return, Hütter aims to bring the team back to winning ways after a season that saw a decline in performance.

Frankfurt fans chanted the name of the Austrian coach in the first training session, with 30 players participating including Burkardt and Götze, with World Cup participants like Japanese Duan set to join later.

Hütter promised the club's fans to provide entertaining football and spread a spirit of optimism, after last season's disappointing campaign, in which the team finished the Bundesliga in eighth place, failing to qualify for European competitions.

Hütter said: 'We have to try again to make the stadium, which has an exceptional atmosphere, stand by our side,' after taking over responsibility from the Spaniard Albert Riera.

The Austrian coach confirmed that the team will be strengthened with new signings, which may start arriving during the current week, adding: 'The sooner the key players in important positions join, the better.'

The team's first official match of the season awaits against fifth-tier St. Tönis in the DFB-Pokal on August 21, followed by the league opener a week later against Union Berlin.

Adi Hütter's first term with Eintracht Frankfurt lasted between 2018 and 2021.

The cup match against St. Tönis represents an initial test for the team under its new coach, while the league encounter with Union Berlin constitutes a strong start to an ambitious season. Hütter relies on the support of the fans at Deutsche Bank Park to motivate the players. Early signings in key positions will also be a decisive factor in the success of his tactical plan.
