Ahmed Fathi, Egypt national team legend, predicts Morocco's success in reaching the 2026 World Cup final.
The Moroccan national team achieved an unprecedented Arab and African feat by finishing fourth in the 2022 World Cup.
In the current edition, Morocco has performed brilliantly, finishing runner-up in Group 3 with 7 points from a draw with Brazil and wins over Scotland and Haiti.
The Atlas Lions also overcame the Netherlands hurdle in the round of 32 on penalties, after a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.
Ahmed Fathi said during his appearance on the show 'Pharaohs of Football' on On Sports channel: 'I expect Morocco to reach the World Cup final.'
He added: 'The Moroccan team is very strong and has imposed its rhythm significantly in the matches it has played so far in the tournament.'
Although the show's host, Ahmed Khairy, drew Fathi's attention to the fact that the French team stands in Morocco's path, the Pharaohs legend stuck to his prediction about the Lions reaching the tournament final.
Morocco is preparing to face Canada in the round of 16 of the World Cup, while France will face Paraguay.
If Morocco advances to the quarterfinals, it will clash with the Roosters (France), provided they overcome Paraguay.
