Jack Grealish loses consciousness during England match
Manchester City star misses World Cup and appears drunk among fans during Three Lions' victory over Norway in 2026 World Cup quarterfinal.
Jack Grealish stayed away from the World Cup spotlight, but stole it outside with controversial footage.. While England snatched a semifinal spot with a 2-1 win over Norway, the English winger was celebrating in his own way, before ending up unconscious.
The British newspaper The Sun reported that Grealish (30), was seen in a raucous party atmosphere with his friends, drinking alcohol and watching the match while clearly exhausted, and despite initially mingling with fans in the sun, the alcohol overcame him, sending him into a deep sleep before the match ended.
Despite his well-known charity work and regular donations, Grealish has been linked over the years to a 'party lover' reputation, and has appeared drunk on multiple previous occasions.
It is worth noting that Manchester City loaned him to Everton last season, but he only played in 22 matches before a foot injury ended his season early.. The injury cost him a chance to compete for a place in England's squad for the 2026 World Cup, limiting him to a fan's role from outside the pitch.
🚨 Jack Grealish 🇬🇧 fell asleep in a bar in Manchester… 😭🍻
« Friends tried to wake him up. The alcohol must have caught up with him. » a spectator reportedly said.
He reportedly arrived around 4:30 p.m. and fell asleep an hour later… pic.twitter.com/6koQwH7U4k
