Kylian Mbappé Bids Farewell to Didier Deschamps

Kylian Mbappé, the French national team striker, sent an emotional farewell message to his national team coach Didier Deschamps, ahead of the match against England for third place in the 2026 World Cup.

Deschamps is leading France for the last time, after a tenure that lasted more than 14 years.

Mbappé said on X: 'Today is your last dance... You have given us so much.'

He continued: 'We could have given you a better ending, but we failed.'

The Real Madrid star added: 'It is difficult to describe what you have given over 14 years. You have been a key element in the revival of this team. People have not fully appreciated your greatness, but time and history will immortalize it.'

He added: 'Thank you for giving me the opportunity to represent my country on the biggest sporting stage all these years.'

He continued: 'I am proud to stand alongside one of the greatest legends of our country, and I will never forget everything we lived and achieved together.'

Mbappé said: 'I wish you the best in your new adventure, and thank you again for everything you have given to this jersey that means so much to us.'
