Manchester City Bids Farewell to Another Player Leaving the Premier League
Manchester City has officially announced the departure of another player during the current summer transfer window, wishing him success in his new journey outside the Premier League.
City wrote a statement on its official website saying: 'Manchester City today thanks Nathan Ake after his departure from the club following six trophy-laden years in Manchester.'
The 31-year-old Dutch defender has transferred to Turkish club Fenerbahce, having left his mark during the most successful era in Manchester City's history.
Ake contributed to Manchester City winning 12 major trophies during his time wearing the sky blue shirt, including four Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League title, one FIFA Club World Cup, two FA Cups, two EFL Cups, as well as the Community Shield and the UEFA Super Cup.
He also played a key role during the historic treble season, which is considered the greatest in Manchester City's history.
Ake ended his career with the club in the best possible way, having contributed to winning both the EFL Cup and FA Cup last season.
Manchester City, which will enter a new era after the departure of manager Pep Guardiola at the end of last season, has recently bid farewell to a number of its players, most notably Bernardo Silva and John Stones.
