French star Kylian Mbappé delivered outstanding individual performances in the World Cup finals held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, yet he failed to lead his country to the title, after falling in the semi-finals to Spain by two goals to nil, who in turn completed their journey to the end and defeated Argentina in the final by a solitary goal from Ferran Torres.

Mbappé finished the tournament top of the goalscorers list with 10 goals, and succeeded in snatching the title of all-time World Cup top scorer from Argentine star Lionel Messi, after raising his tally to 22 goals.

Despite the loss in the third-place play-off against England by a score of (6-4), Mbappé managed to top a special list in the World Cup.

Mbappé topped the list of fastest players in the World Cup with a speed of 37.61 km/h, surpassing Swedish Anthony Elanga who came second with 37.16 km/h, and Dutch Micky van de Ven who took third place with 36.77 km/h.

Notably, this list includes three players from the French national team in the top ten; Bradley Barcola ranked seventh with a speed of 36.32 km/h, while Theo Hernández came ninth after recording a speed of 36.17 km/h.

Australian Jordan Bos ranked fourth with a speed of 36.67 km/h, and there was a notable presence of Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, who came fifth with 36.52 km/h.
