According to AFP, a great excitement prevails in the streets of the city center. Miguel Garcia and Maria Anton, both 18 years old, said: 'We are the best, and we know we will win,' expressing their confidence that Spain will be crowned with its second star, 14 years after winning the 2010 South Africa World Cup.

The agency met the two young people at the famous Puerta del Sol square, but they will not be able to watch the match in Madrid as they will be on a bus returning to the city of Murcia in the southeast of the country during the final. However, they plan to celebrate the victory upon arrival.

Maria said: 'We will go wherever people go; it doesn't matter where the celebration will be,' while Miguel expressed his hope that they would 'jump into one of the fountains' to celebrate the title.

In the streets of the capital, street vendors continue to sell national team jerseys and flags, while shops have decorated their facades and interiors with the Spanish national colors.

The enthusiasm was not limited to fans; telecom companies also joined in, changing the network names displayed on phone screens for the occasion.

Many major stores, including El Corte Inglés, Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, and IKEA, announced early closure of their branches to allow employees to watch the final match.

Great confidence in victory

Javier Fernandez, 23, said: 'I think we have played a great World Cup, and we will prove it against Argentina.'

The young man affirms his confidence in the 'La Roja' team, considering it 'a young team full of promise for the future.'

Fernandez will go to watch the match with his friends at a café, and if Spain is crowned champion, they will look for 'the place where people will go to celebrate.'

For her part, Mercedes Rojas, a 50-year-old teacher who came from Toledo with her husband to watch the match in Puerta del Sol square in central Madrid, believes that 'the Argentinians are very strong competitors.'

The Spanish fan, who wore a hat in the colors of her country's team, added: 'I think at this stage, after reaching the final, both teams deserve to win, whether Spain or Argentina.'

Many giant screens have been set up in the Spanish capital to allow fans to watch the final match.
