Washington, June 25 (KUNA) -- Morocco and Brazil qualified on Thursday for the next round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup currently being held in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, after Morocco defeated Haiti 4-2 and Brazil beat Scotland 3-0 in the third round of Group 3 matches. The Morocco-Haiti match was held at Atlanta Stadium in Atlanta, USA. Haiti took the lead first with an own goal scored by goalkeeper Yassine Bounou in the 10th minute, before Achraf Hakimi equalized for Morocco in the 39th minute. Ismael Saibari added the second goal in the first minute of stoppage time in the first half. In the second half, Wilson Isidor scored Haiti's second goal in the 43rd minute, but Soufiane Rahimi restored Morocco's lead in the 78th minute, and Morocco completed the four-goal tally in the 89th minute. In the second match, held at Miami Stadium in Miami, USA, Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for Brazil in the 7th minute, then added the second goal in the third minute of stoppage time in the first half, before Matheus Cunha completed the trio in the 60th minute. With these results, Brazil topped Group 3 with seven points and a superior goal difference over Morocco, who also have seven points and finished second, allowing both teams to advance to the round of 32.
