Taif Field will host on Saturday the final of the Al-Mafareed race, organized by the Saudi Camel Racing Federation, with total prizes exceeding SAR 2,500,000 distributed over 156 heats in three stages. According to the press statement on Friday, the final day will include 24 heats over a distance of two kilometers, including four cup heats, two of which are dedicated to Saudi production, introduced by the Federation this season to support Saudi camel owners, and this edition will be presented with the support of businessman Obaid bin Salman Al-Dosari. The first competitions of the racing season 2026-2027 started on June 13, with the first stage over two days at the Taif Camel Field, featuring 66 heats over 1,500 meters for the Al-Mafareed category (Bakar Qadan, Bakar Aam). The second stage began on the 27th of the same month over two days with 66 heats over 1,500 meters for the same category. The first and second stages resulted in 660 camels qualifying out of 3,398 that participated in the race.
