(CNN)—Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris was keen to congratulate Egypt and Al Ahly goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir on his wedding.

Sawiris reposted on his X account on Saturday a video from Shobeir's wedding attended by a number of Egyptian players.

The Egyptian businessman, addressing the 26-year-old goalkeeper, said: "Congratulations."

Mostafa Shobeir's wedding came shortly after the end of his participation with the 'Pharaohs' national team in the 2026 World Cup tournament.

Shobeir was one of the most prominent goalkeepers in the World Cup, held on the territories of the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico, and helped his teammates reach the Round of 16.

Mostafa Shobeir participated in 5 matches in the world's biggest tournament, and despite not keeping a clean sheet, he made more than one save in addition to saving two penalty kicks taken by Iranian Mehdi Taremi and Argentine Lionel Messi.
