Al-Saqr Club, newly promoted to the Saudi First Division League (Yelo League), officially announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Joao Eric, as part of the management's efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season, in its quest to build a team capable of competing and fulfilling the fans' aspirations.

Joao Eric, 28, is a midfielder known for his ability to perform defensive duties and playmaking. He excels as a defensive midfielder and pivot in the center of the pitch, relying on physical strength, good positioning, and accurate passing.

The player began his career in the youth categories of Brazilian club Sport Recife, before gaining experience with Santos' youth teams. He then moved to professional football in Croatia and also played for Brazilian clubs Santa Cruz and América. He had two stints in the Bosnian league with Bosushe and Željezničar, gaining diverse experience in European and South American football.

Al-Saqr's management hopes that Joao Eric will be an influential technical addition to the midfield, thanks to his professional experience and ability to provide the team with balance between defensive duties and offensive buildup, making him a key player during the next season's competitions.
