Mustafa Abou Zahra, a member of the Egyptian Football Association, revealed a major surprise regarding the 'twins' Hossam Hassan, the technical director of the Egyptian national team, and his brother who serves as the manager of the 'Pharaohs'.

The duo succeeded in leading the Egyptian national team to the round of 16 for the first time in World Cup history, but the adventure ended at the hands of Argentina, with a 2-3 loss.

Abou Zahra said in statements on 'On Sport' channel network: 'Hossam and Ibrahim are different from any people I have dealt with, because they have not asked for any financial privileges throughout the past period.'

He added: 'I will reveal some things that some do not know, most importantly the arrival of many offers for the duo to leave the Egyptian national team, but they refused to give up their positions and will continue their journey with the Pharaohs.'

He continued his talk: 'But I spoke with the head of the Egyptian Football Association about the future of the 'twins', and he assured me of the necessity of their continuation and fulfilling all demands in order to continue the success process.'

For his part, Ibrahim Hassan confirmed that there is no intention to leave the Egyptian national team, explaining: 'There is no money that would make us abandon serving the homeland.'

He concluded: 'For example, if we were offered to get a thousand pounds elsewhere versus 10 pounds with the Egyptian national team, we would choose to represent our country.'
