Officially.. Zamalek decides to escalate in 'Zizo' crisis after union letter
Zamalek Club revealed its insistence on legal escalation to recover the financial amounts owed to it from Ahmed Sayed "Zizo", following a letter from the Egyptian Football Association.
This comes after the Players' Affairs Committee of the Egyptian Football Association resolved the controversy surrounding the complaint filed by "Zizo" against his former club Zamalek, after weeks of back-and-forth between the two parties.
Zamalek Club announced on Wednesday in an official statement that it received an official letter from the Football Association stating that the complaint filed by the player, in which he demanded his delayed dues from the White Castle before his transfer to Al Ahly, had been dismissed.
The statement explained that the committee's decision came after a thorough examination of all documents and papers submitted by both parties, and reviewing the details of the complaint, which ultimately concluded that there was no legal basis for it and decided to officially dismiss it.
It added: "Zamalek Club affirms, with regard to its complaint in which it demanded its dues related to advertising revenues and television appearance rights of the player during his contract period with the club, that it will continue to take all necessary civil and criminal legal measures to ensure it receives its financial dues resulting from the television appearances and advertising materials that the player filmed."
It continued: "With the issuance of the decision by the Players' Affairs Committee today, the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, headed by Hussein Labib, extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Kamal Shuaib, the club's legal advisor, and all members of his office, and to the club's legal department headed by Mohamed Anani, and Sayed Mostafa, director of the legal department, and Osama Abdullah and Tarek Abdel Monem, the lawyers, for the efforts they made in managing this file professionally, which resulted in the decision being issued in favor of the club."
Zizo had filed a complaint with the Players' Affairs Committee accusing Zamalek of not paying his dues, following his departure to the traditional rival, while the White Club responded with a counter-complaint to the Federation accusing the player of missing training sessions in his final period at the White Castle before completing his transfer.
Zamalek confirms it dealt according to the law until it was vindicated in Zizo's complaint against it .. and thanks Counselor Kamal Shuaib and the legal department #Zamalek | #MostTitledIn20C | #الزمالك_أولًا | #أكبر_قلعة_رياضية pic.twitter.com/dId8kiH2Vk
