Statistics network Opta revealed on Thursday its predictions for the qualification percentages of the eight remaining teams in the 2026 World Cup to the semifinals, ahead of the quarterfinal matches.

The network tipped France as the most likely to reach the semifinals, giving them a 74% chance of advancing, compared to just 26% for their opponent Morocco.

In another matchup, the network's analysis predicted Spain's superiority, with a 70% qualification chance against Belgium's 30%.

In the third match, Opta gave the edge to England with a 62% chance of reaching the semifinals, compared to 38% for Norway, the surprise of the current edition after eliminating Brazil in the round of 16.

In the final quarterfinal match, the network predicted Argentina, the defending champions, to advance with a 69% chance, against Switzerland's 31%.
