The England national team secured third place in the 2026 World Cup after a thrilling 6-4 victory over their French counterparts.

The French national team failed to secure a win in the farewell match for their coach Didier Deschamps, who will officially leave Les Bleus after the World Cup.

The Three Lions started the match with an early goal in the third minute through Declan Rice.

After 15 minutes, Ezri Konsa doubled England's lead with the second goal.

Bukayo Saka scored two consecutive goals in the 37th and (45+1) minutes, sending the first half to a 4-0 lead for England.

However, the French team entered the second half with intense attacking pressure, resulting in the first goal through Kylian Mbappé in the 48th minute.

Bradley Barcola scored the second goal for Les Bleus in the 54th minute, before Mbappé succeeded in scoring the third goal in the 66th minute.

Amid the French pressure, the match referee awarded a penalty kick in favor of England, which Saka successfully converted, completing his hat-trick in the 87th minute, making the score 5-3 in favor of the Three Lions.

The French team did not give up and pressed hard until substitute Ousmane Dembélé managed to score the fourth goal in the (90+6) minute.

From a fast counterattack, substitute Jude Bellingham scored the sixth goal, ending the match with a crazy victory for the Three Lions.
