President of Qatar Football Association announces his resignation

Doha, July 09 /QNA/ His Excellency Mr. Jassim Rashid Al Buainain, President of the Qatar Football Association, today announced his official resignation from his post.

Al Buainain said in a statement on his personal account on the social media platform 'X' that he is submitting his resignation after three years of service as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Football Association.

He added that it was a stage full of challenges, but with determination and sincerity, ambitions turned into reality, affirming that the public interest was and will remain above all considerations, and that sincere intentions are capable of overcoming all obstacles, wishing for the continuity of Qatari football's journey towards more success, progress, and prosperity.
