Ibrahim Diaz, Real Madrid star, broke his silence after the 2026 World Cup exit at the hands of France, losing 2-0 in the quarterfinals.

The Moroccan national team had a strong performance in the World Cup, aiming to reach at least the semifinals, as they did in the 2022 edition, but their ambition collided with the French team.

Diaz addressed a message to the fans through his account on "X", saying: "Days ago our journey in the World Cup ended.. We leave with sadness but the journey will not stop here.. We will return stronger and more determined for our country."

He continued: "Heartfelt thanks to the Moroccan fans for your unlimited support.. You were with us at every step, and your encouragement meant a lot to us."

He concluded with a promise to the fans of Morocco: "The best is yet to come."

A few days ago our journey in this World Cup ended. We leave with sadness, but this doesn't end here. We will come back stronger, hungrier, and with more enthusiasm to keep fighting for our country.
