French club Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish side Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of South Korean striker Lee Kang-in to the Spanish club next season, according to a source close to the negotiations told AFP on Wednesday. The source said the value of the deal is close to $45 million excluding bonuses, noting that the two clubs had been close to finalizing the agreement since last Monday, with some small details still being resolved. A source close to the player said about his future: 'If the player asks to leave and a good offer arrives, as with all players, he can go, but these two conditions must be met; otherwise, he will stay.' Lee Kang-in joined PSG in 2023 and had two years remaining on his contract, but he failed to establish himself as a starter under Spanish coach Luis Enrique, similar to Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos who also left the club this summer to join Italian side AC Milan. The 25-year-old South Korean midfielder and winger has not played a single minute in the Champions League since the second leg of the quarterfinals. Before that, he came off the bench in other continental matches and started against German side Bayern Munich last November in a 2-1 loss.
