Spanish press reports have revealed that Portuguese Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Real Madrid, is insisting on signing Manchester City star Rodri during the current summer transfer window, in order to strengthen the team's midfield.

According to the Spanish newspaper 'Marca', Mourinho informed club president Florentino Perez that signing Rodri is a top priority, emphasizing that the Spanish midfielder possesses the experience and technical abilities that make him the most suitable to lead Real Madrid's midfield in the coming period.

The newspaper added that Mourinho has placed Rodri at the top of his list of targets in the summer transfer window, despite the difficulty of completing the deal, given Manchester City's insistence on keeping the player and his high market value.
