French club Rennes signed American right-back Bryan Reynolds on Thursday until 2030, coming from Belgian first team Westerlo. Reynolds, who played for American Dallas and Italian Roma, said in a press statement on Thursday: 'It is a giant step in my career. I was seeking to finalize the contract details as soon as possible.' The new Rennes player represented the US national team seven times, but he was not in the squad that played the 2026 World Cup. Reynolds added: 'I was eager to come to Rennes, especially since they will play in the Europa League.' Rennes ended the French league in sixth place, just one point away from the positions qualifying for the Champions League. Loïc Désiré, Rennes' sports director, confirmed: 'The American defender perfectly embodies the type of players the team is looking for.'
