Senegalese Sadio Mané, winger of Al-Nassr first team, has decided to end his international career with his country's national team, according to local newspaper 'Le Quotidien' on Friday. The Senegalese newspaper reported that Mané, aged 34, decided to end his international journey with the Lions of Teranga after being eliminated from the 2026 World Cup by Belgium in the round of 32. The newspaper quoted the striker as saying: 'I apologize to the Senegalese people for any disappointments... I sacrificed everything for this flag... I gave my best and always fought fiercely for our nation.' The former Liverpool star revealed his desire to serve his country in any field, saying: 'Tomorrow, I am glad to put my experience at the service of the nation, this time off the field.' The Al-Nassr winger, before hanging up his boots with Senegal, participated in 130 matches, scoring 54 goals since 2012. He won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 after losing in 2019, then lost the title in 2025 by the decision of the African Football Confederation.
