Saudi Girls' Youth Team Loses to Syrian Counterpart in West Asia Championship
The Saudi women's youth team lost to its Syrian counterpart 1-0 on Friday in the opening match of its participation in the sixth West Asian Football Federation U-17 Women's Championship, in the first group competitions held at Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa, Jordan.
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is hosting this edition of the championship from July 17 to 22, with the participation of seven teams divided into two groups; Group A includes Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates, while Group B includes Jordan, Bahrain, and Palestine.
The Saudi girls' team faces a packed schedule in the group stage, as it will play against Lebanon on July 19 at 8:00 PM, before concluding its group matches against the UAE on July 21 at the same time.
