The Saudi Jiu-Jitsu team concluded its participation in the 2026 Asian Championship, hosted by the Kazakh city of Almaty from July 10 to 19, with an impressive haul of 9 medals: two gold, one silver, and six bronze.

On the final day of the men's competition, brothers Omar Nada and Abdullah Nada shone, winning gold medals in the 94 kg and 85 kg weight categories respectively, while Abdulmalik Al-Mardi took silver in the 62 kg category, and Mohammed bin Huraimil earned bronze in the 69 kg category.

The Saudi squad had opened its account in the tournament through Hadeel Qadha, before Khaled Habab, Elias Bajar, and Jamal Jahlan added three bronze medals in the under-18 category. Sultana Al-Dosari also secured a bronze in the under-21 category, bringing the team's total to 9 Asian medals.

The Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, congratulated the national team's champions on this achievement via platform X, saying: 'I congratulate our champions in jiu-jitsu for winning 9 medals at the 2026 Asian Championship in Kazakhstan. An honorable presence that reflects the development of this sport and the excellence of our champions at the continental level.'
