Saudi journalist Saud Al-Sarami, former official spokesman of Al-Nassr Club, made exciting statements ahead of Egypt's match against Argentina in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, predicting the 'Pharaohs' would advance at the expense of the world champions.

Egypt will face Argentina on Tuesday evening in a highly anticipated round of 16 match at the World Cup.

Egypt had advanced after beating Australia on penalties (4-2) following a 1-1 draw after extra time, while Argentina reached this round after a 3-2 win over Cape Verde.

He added: 'Egyptian defensive giant Rami Rabia will put Leo Messi in his (pocket), just as our defender Abdulilah Al-Amri did when facing the Argentine team.'
