A press report revealed on Tuesday that two members of the Spanish national team are absent from the training sessions held in preparation for the match against Belgium in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish national team completed a recovery session on Tuesday at the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas, hours after qualifying for the World Cup quarter-finals by defeating Portugal.

The atmosphere was very enthusiastic, filled with smiles, satisfaction, and great excitement after the victory in a difficult match.

The only notable aspect of the training was the absence of Aymeric Laporte and Pau Cubarsí from the field.

Both remained in the gymnasium, although the Spanish Football Federation expressed full confidence in their condition.

This was a recovery session, as usual on other days, and it is expected that the two defenders will join the rest of the team tomorrow as normal.

Spain has only three training sessions left before their quarter-final match against Belgium next Friday.

The first session took place on Tuesday in Dallas, while the next two will be held in Los Angeles, the city where the team will play their next World Cup match.
