Spanish newspapers celebrated the achievement of their national team after qualifying for the 2026 World Cup final, following a 2-0 victory over France in the semifinals, dedicating their front pages to praise the performance of the Spanish coach's men, while emphasizing that "La Roja" is close to regaining the world title after a 16-year absence.

The newspaper "Marca" came with a bold headline: "Historic Sweep," referring to the overwhelming superiority over the French team.

It also highlighted that Spain reached the World Cup final for the second time in its history after "crushing France," praising the distinctive tactical display, and affirming that goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro led the team to the final.

As for "AS," it sufficed with one word on its cover: "Amazing!" considering that Spain delivered an exceptional match and left France "powerless."

It also noted that Oyarzabal scored his fifth goal of the tournament, while Pedro Porro left his mark with a second goal, leading the team to the final.

For its part, "Mundo Deportivo" chose the headline: "What Greats!" affirming that "La Roja" subdued a French team that was offensively impotent, and reached the World Cup final after a performance it described as "amazing," adding that the Spanish team will fight for the second star after 16 years since the 2010 title.

The newspaper "Sport" followed the same approach, with the same headline: "What Greats!" considering that the Spanish team "swept France" and deservedly qualified for the final, praising the collective performance and tactical discipline shown by the team throughout the match.

The celebration was not limited to sports newspapers, as "El Mundo," one of Spain's largest general newspapers, dedicated its front page to the achievement, under the headline: "Team Strength," affirming that Spain's amazing collective play overwhelmed France, and led the team back to the World Cup final after a performance it described as "magical."
