The American auction house Christie's will hold an auction on Tuesday to sell a collection of World Cup memorabilia, including a ball to be used in the final match, as well as clothing to be worn by artists during the halftime show. The online auction will run for a week starting July 22, with proceeds going to the FIFA Foundation for Global Citizenship Education, an initiative aiming to raise $100 million to support children worldwide during the World Cup. Among the highlights are a yellow crop top and pants worn by Colombian singer Shakira in the music video for the song 'Dai Dai', the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Also up for sale is the outfit that Shakira will wear during her participation in the first-ever halftime show of a World Cup final, an 11-minute performance also featuring Madonna, Justin Bieber, and BTS. The auction includes a number of footballs, including one from the final match to be held on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and another from the opening match held in Mexico last month. Also up for sale is the 2022 Argentina national team jersey, signed by star Lionel Messi, as well as the US national team jersey signed by its players.
