The French Football Federation has revealed the date for introducing the new coach of the senior national team to the media, following Didier Deschamps' departure after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

Deschamps' tenure with the French team ended after finishing fourth in the 2026 World Cup. During his era, 'Les Bleus' won the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 UEFA Nations League.

According to French reports, Zidane has reached a final agreement with a monthly salary of 300,000 euros, which could rise to 450,000 euros with bonuses.

The French Federation said in a statement on its official website: "The president of the French Federation, Philippe Diallo, will introduce the next coach of the French national team on Tuesday, July 28, at 11:00 AM, during a press conference."

Extraordinary meeting before the official announcement

The statement added: "Following the extraordinary executive committee meeting that will be held on the same morning, Philippe Diallo will present the next coach of the French national team to the media."

Agreement with Zidane

The French Football Federation has not disclosed the name of the new coach, but media reports have mentioned that Zinedine Zidane will take on the role with a contract extending until 2030.
