Two Absentees in Les Bleus Training: New Development on Mbappé and Tchouaméni Before Clash with Spain
Three days before the 2026 World Cup semi-final against Spain, the French national team players held their training on Saturday at Bentley University, near Boston.
After suffering a minor ankle injury against Morocco in the quarter-finals, Kylian Mbappé attended training, as did Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The Les Bleus captain ran with the starting players, striking the ball without any problem whenever it came his way, according to RMC.
Only William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano were absent from training. According to the French national team's technical staff on the sidelines of the training session, it's just about load management and there is no cause for concern regarding the defensive duo.

Arsenal defender Saliba, who has been suffering from recurring back pain for several months, is following a modified training program that prevents him from participating in group training sessions.
The starting players who took part in the quarter-final against Morocco did a light training session without the ball.
According to the same source, 'Tchouaméni seems very comfortable changing direction, which is reassuring.'
France face Spain on Tuesday evening in the 2026 World Cup semi-final in Arlington near Dallas.
