Video: Story of a 'schoolyard' brawl that nearly spoiled Morocco national team press conference
The Morocco national team's press conference witnessed a strange incident, just hours before their match against France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Morocco takes on France today, Thursday, at Gillette Stadium in Boston, USA, in the opening match of the World Cup quarter-finals.
Morocco held a press conference early Thursday morning, attended by head coach Mohamed Ouhbi and Real Madrid winger Brahim Diaz.
French journalist Jean-Sébastien Grond-Tran posted a video from the press conference showing a fight between two journalists while Brahim Diaz was speaking.
The Real Madrid player was startled by the loud noise as he spoke, drawing all eyes to the journalists, with each accusing the other of trying to kick them.
After strenuous efforts by their colleagues to calm them down and intervention by conference organizers, the situation ended and calm returned, with smiles from Mohamed Ouhbi and Brahim Diaz.
Ouhbi commented sarcastically, saying: 'We were separating you as if you were in school,' before the press conference continued normally.
