Argentina scored 3 goals in stoppage time and 4 in extra time. In contrast, their net only conceded one goal (in the last 15 minutes including extra time) which came in the 103rd minute against Cape Verde in the round of 32.
The Albiceleste scored late goals in all knockout stages of the 2026 World Cup, winning against Cape Verde (3-2), Egypt (3-2), Switzerland (3-1), and England (2-1).
The Argentine team seeks to retain its world title, but it faces a Spain eager to win its second World Cup after 2010.
