(CNN) -- The wife of Argentine player Leandro Paredes welcomed her husband after his return to his country following his reaching the final of the 2026 World Cup with a drawing of his tackle in the final moments of the Egypt match that featured Omar Marmoush.

Paredes' wife, Camila Galante, posted pictures of the reception of her husband at their home via the "Story" feature on Instagram.

The pictures included the decoration of the inside and outside of the house with balloons in the colors of the Argentine flag, white and sky blue.

She also posted another picture showing a drawing of Paredes' decisive tackle on Marmoush during a counterattack in the round of 16 match between Egypt and Argentina, which could have been a certain goal for the "Pharaohs".

Marmoush had led a counterattack at the start of stoppage time when the score was tied 2-2, and he had a chance to pass the ball and put his teammate in a one-on-one situation, but Paredes intervened and prevented the pass from reaching the other Egyptian player.

Argentina had succeeded in eliminating Egypt from the round of 16 of the World Cup after turning the score from 2-0 to 3-2 in the last quarter of an hour of the match.
