The Moroccan national team exited the first half against France with very modest attacking numbers, on Thursday evening, in the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.

According to statistics network Squawka, Morocco became the team with the fewest shots in the first half of any match at the 2026 World Cup, after taking only one shot, which went wide.

In contrast, the French national team imposed its attacking dominance, taking 13 shots in the first half, including 3 on target.

France star Kylian Mbappé earned a penalty in the first half after being fouled by Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui, but goalkeeper Yassine Bounou easily saved the Real Madrid star's shot.
