The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, held a series of meetings in the People's Republic of China with government and executive leaders, in the presence of the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Authority, Engineer Haitham Al-Owaily, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the People's Republic of China, Abdulrahman Ahmed Al-Harbi, to discuss the prospects of partnership in artificial intelligence, the digital economy, technology transfer, space, and emerging technologies, in a way that enhances the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology met with the Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, Yin Hejun, and the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in artificial intelligence and the digital economy, technology transfer, talent exchange programs, as well as expanding the presence of major Chinese technology companies in the Kingdom.

In the space sector, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology met with the head of the China National Space Administration, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Dr. Shan Chungde, and discussed opportunities for cooperation in space technologies, expanding partnership areas in innovation, and developing capabilities related to the sector.

He also met with the executive management of Moonshot AI, the developer of the Kimi LLM model, and discussed the development of large language models and generative technologies supported by artificial intelligence, in addition to technology transfer and marketing, which supports the growth of the digital economy and emerging technologies in the Kingdom.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology also met with the Chairman of ByteDance China, Lidong Zhang, and discussed cooperation in generative artificial intelligence and data centers, developing algorithms and large language models, and expanding the company's presence in the Kingdom, which contributes to the development of the technical innovation ecosystem and enhances the competitiveness of the digital economy.

These meetings come as an extension of the Kingdom's efforts to build qualitative international partnerships, attract advanced technologies and investments, develop national capabilities, and enhance its global presence in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, and space.
